Craving: Clogs

I have been lusting after a pair of Swedish Hasbeens ever since I visited their flagship store in Stockholm last summer, and now that Vogue has declared that this 'ugly-pretty shoe is making its chicest comeback,' I am definitely ready to get a pair. Below are my top choices:

Fall (Capsule) Wardrobe Part IV: Tops

The final part of my capsule wardrobe is here! It has been unseasonably warm lately, so I have already bent the rules and worn a pair of shorts that I technically put away for the fall. However, this was absolutely necessary for my trip to Sonoma yesterday-- it was 95 degrees!  Below are all the tops I picked, mainly tees and button-downs with a few sweaters as well. Now that you know which pieces make up my wardrobe this fall, stay tuned for some outfit posts to see how I styled them.

Fall (Capsule) Wardrobe Part III: Shoes

Here are my shoe picks for the fall! I chose mostly sandals/sneakers/ballet flats but added in two pairs of booties to make the collection a bit more seasonal. The Zara lace-up flats were such an exciting find, since they are an exact cross between the shoe of the year and the Isabel Marant Leo. A note on the Chanel flats: they are expensive, but they are SO worth it. They have definitely become my lowest 'cost per wear' shoe since I have worn them for six years now, resoling them when necessary. This approach (splurge on investment shoes, wear them for years) fits in perfectly with the capsule wardrobe philosophy of quality over quantity.
